Sal,

The problem with the Alarm indicator may simply be that the machine is
out of paper. These machines came in several different
configurations. One even came built into a suitcase.
Some have an internal modem with an RJ-11 jack on the back and others
have an EIA-232 interface on the back. It would be good if you could
post the configuration you have and or
the detailed model number which is on a small plate on the rear of the
machine.

I hope you find a good home for the unit. Usually the problems with
these and other Teletype equipment is the weight and necessary good
packing required to have the machine arrive safely.

All best wishes and hopes, stay warm!

I have a model 43 available to sell. Very good condition. Missing one
paper scroll knob and the chrome paper guide on back. All keys on
keyboard work. The alarm light is always "on".
Do not know if this is because there is no input signal. If anyone is
interested in purchasing it, or have any questions, please e-mail me.
Item available either in northern NJ or lower hudson valley, NY.
