One of the tapes listed in that brochure I mentioned earlier ran for 399 minutes 24 seconds.

If there are 10 characters per inch of tape and a 60 WPM signal is 364 characters per minute  them one minute of tape is 36.4 inches long.

The tape for that almost 400 minute (6 hr 40 min) picture would have been 14,540 inches (1,213.33 Feet) or nearly one-quarter mile long.
