[GreenKeys] TT-100G Selector Assembly

Thinking back 40 some odd years I don't think I ever used a gauge to set
those screws. Just set them so that it takes a small amount of force to
move from one side to the other with the "same" amount of force on both
sides and the armature staying the way you moved it while power is off.
Doing lots and lots of machines it was a "feel" that was acquired!

Thanks Steve. That helped a lot. I was referring to it with power off. I
kind of wondered if it might be that way as why else would they have bias to
pull it back but I have never worked on one.

Oh, and see, even 40 years later you still remember the parts! I have
trouble remembering where I lived back then. :) Anyway not sure what I will
do with the gram settings as I do not have a tension gauge and that may be
why the previous owner stopped. I will have to research a bit to see if
there is such a thing as a reasonably priced gauge.

Again thanks

armature to mark or space. With power on and no loop current the armature
should move back to "space" due to the bias current through the magnets.
With power off I've seen them stay either way; sometimes dependent on the
adjustments on the leaf springs on the armature. I'm calling them leaf
springs at the moment as I not sure I remember the proper terminology after
40 some odd years with out consulting a manual. (Just checked a manual!)
And they are referred to as "armature leaf springs" on models that have them
(think the TT-100 did), and the adjustment for them is that it should take
10 grams of force to move armature from mark to space and from space to mark
with the selector magnets de-energized. That being said, the armature
should stay in whichever position it is manually set when not powered on.

to the proper clearance before any other adjustments should I be able to
move the armature to mark or space and it stay there until I move it to the
opposite ? Before it was loading back to the space side when it was idle. I
wanted to be sure before proceeding to the next step.

that helps and have the armature adjustment screw backed out at the present
