I've used acetone as a solvent to clean up the sticky goo that the rollers
turn into.  Then used rubber hose from an auto store to coat the rollers.
One of them was too fat with the hose fitted, so I used a drill press as
a lathe and sandpaper to remove enough rubber until it would fit.
