Not doubting you or anything, but I'm always suspicious of figures like 
that.  How, exactly, are they derived?  Are they self-reported, or do they 
rely upon an easily-customised banner, or use an equally-spoofed TCP/IP 
fingerprint, or what?

In an effort to drag this back on topic, is there an RTTY equivalent of a 
CW user's "fist", such as a variation in the warble?  Note that advances 
are being made in the area of measuring precise power-supply fluctuations 
in your local grid, and ambient light variations, etc.
