I have a schematic here or drawing as you wish that illustrates the hook 
up from a 12V eia source such as the Dovetron Tempest has to interface 
with a computer or radio that has an RS-232 port.  I got it from a very 
active rtty guy back in Cleveland so no credit here but it looks like it 
would handle the job.  He also drew in the interfacing for FSK to the 
dovetron as well as the PTT feature using a couple of diodes and 2222 
type transistors.  Very simple if anyone is interested.  I think i have 
it in a file so i could send it to someone who might be interested.
