[GreenKeys] Model 38

Once upon a time I built a telephone housing out of smoked plexiglas by cutting end pieces to shape and size, then heating a large rectangle of the stuff in a conventional oven just warm enough to 'fold' it to conform to the ends. It turned out absolutely great but required mechanical fasteners to attach the ends. Now that I think about it, I may have formed the ends to fit the final product.

Perhaps a clear adhesive could be used instead? One could form a dome similar to a Selectric III with this method, but I don't know how close to the 38 it might look. -Cory

I had a friend bragging about a 3d printer he is getting and he made hand motions that seemed like a larger sine than a 35 bubble lid..... he is a friend to the museum project so if I can bag a real one we can print on demand,

Now, the truck was already full so it didn't come home with me (at least right now), but I'm curious what the background is on this model. Google isn't much of a help. It appears to have a type cylinder like the 32/33 series. Did it operate at higher speeds? What was the target market? Anything unique about this model?
