Exactly.
In such cases I mostly try to contact the seller by phone, see how he sounds
and probably manage a pick up myself.

Of course I understand that pick up by someone himself is not that easy in
the US
due to bigger distances. But a pick up is mostly even better than a
transport damage
anyway.
