I had some  great  emails back and  forth when I was  trying to  determine  
when  the fellow  from HAL's  copyright   started on RTTY Journal.
 
Wayne was  proud of how many people  he  got interested in  RTTY.

I regret that I only e-mailed him once  but I did tell 
him how much I enjoyed CQ when he was editor.  It was  CQ 
that got me interested in Teletype.  He also kept the 
magazine  interesting if a bit eccentric.
