[GreenKeys] FW: My model 26

I recently acquired an ST-6000, so I have to get one of my long quiet
machines running. In consideration of the other family members, I decided
to get the '26 that has been lurking in a dark corner of my garage, and see
if I can get it running. I am not familiar with the model, but the selector
is familiar, and the keyboard is close.
Turning it over by hand and working the selector magnet armature by hand,
it looks like pretty much everything will work. It's pretty dirty, but
nothing seems to be gummed up. I haven't tried to plug it in the AC yet
since the wiring looks pretty bad, but the real shock came when I took a
good look at the back of it. There is a piece of aluminum angle bolted to
two frame extensions. There is a fairly hefty solenoid bolted to it which
has an arm that trips the carriage return function. There is also a
microswitch on the angle which is wired to a push button that was installed
on the right hand wing of the keyboard. I could easily remove all of this,
but what it replaced appears to be the paper roll holder.
There is a third frame extension below the two. They have tapped holes in
their ends, and the aluminum angle is bolted to the two upper ones. A look
at the parts book shows a paper chute, paper roll bracket and spindles. I
guess I can cobble something together that would hang on the back of the
carriage. I found some paper work with it when I originally got it five or
six years ago that indicated it belonged to a ham, who probably modified it.
	Any ideas?

Frank
