I was in the military and working with Post Signal at Fort Polk, La when
that occurred. We had a couple of Mod 28s running - one on AP and the
other on UPI. I had nearly a whole role of paper off one of them when
the story unfolded. I had it for many years and may still have it here
somewhere; however, I haven't seen it in years.
I knew other military operators that had the same thing. It is not too
remote an idea to think there are legitimate copies out there.
But I doubt very seriously that the copies being sold on Ebay are
legitimate.
If I could find the copy I had, I don't know of anyway to validate it
other than my word which isn't worth anything.
