NASTY NASTY NASTY!!!
UPI was one of the most charitable organizations going, and that is
probably why they went by the wayside.
I was always getting removal orders from their manager in Salt Lake,
and when I went to collect the stuff from the various non-payers,
all they had to do was call him and he would verbally cancel the
removal order.
UPI's philosophy seemed to be that it was better to service a
non-payer as opposed to the demise of a client that would use UPI.
Part of the deal that RCA had with UPI was that all RCA techs would
have a UPI line in their house for test and trouble verification.
Boy do I miss those days...
I wrote one of my missives regarding the Extel machines the other
day and the internet gobbled it up and hasn't been printed anywhere.
I will try and reproduce it outa my head tonight.
I had quite a bit of experience repairing Extels. They were a
nightmare to trouble shoot as there were loops within loops within
loops when it came to the logic.
The GreenKeys circuit seems to have some manner of buffer such that
it is not uncommon for me to get my dispatches a couple hours after
I send them. Go figure.
Take care, and I hope the the VOA is seeing you well.
