[GreenKeys] poor man's web interface to GreenKeys

I have a slightly odd way of reading GreenKeys, which Gil
suggested I mention here as it might be of use to others who
tend to prefer digests rather than individual e-mails.

I don't actually read GreenKeys via e-mail at all. Instead,
I just keep a browser window open which is pointed to the current
month of the list archive, in sort-by-date mode. To read the
list, all I do is go to it and hit the "refresh" button.
This gives me a current subject + poster listing of all of the posts,
with the most recent at the bottom of the list. Just click on a
post to read it. Here's a screengrab of what it looks like right now:

The downside, I suppose, is that you can't just click on a post
to reply to it (but as a matter of standard operating practice,
I never do this anyway - over the decades, I've seen way too many
instances of replies gone astray).

The only other hitch is that often I forget the month has ended
and I wonder why nobody's posting :-) But a quick look at the
calendar fixes that.

One advantage over digest mode is that you can see everything
that has been posted - you don't have to wait for the digest.

The URL for the archive index (from which you select the month
and mode-of-viewing desired) is:

http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/

Anyway, it's one possible way to read the list if you don't like
an inbox full of individual posts, but you don't want to be
moderated (as digest-mode is now). Gil can set you up for no posts
in your inbox at all and no moderation for your own posting.

David M.
