Thorough cleaning and oiling is most important. Send RYRYRY...
and see if the code bars go back and forth properly. Sticking code bars
are a frequent problem. That's just a cleaning and lube issue.
Make sure the felt discs in the selector clutch are saturated with
oil. Light machine oil, of course; WD-40 is too tacky and will gum
up mechanisms.
Check for oil on the selector magnet face. Slip a strip of paper
in there and use it to clean out any oil.
When you send RYRY... does it print wrong, punch wrong, or both?
