On later model 33's the line feed upstop was orange plastic. As time progressed, they made the plastic larger. If its gone the machine wont line feed. 3 pieces on vinyl tubing of graduated sizes squeezed on to the remaining metal tab will do the job. You may have to adjust the upstop up or down a little.

paper advance? if it's friction feed, you shoud chekc the rubber part on
he back of the platen, near the selector. if you think "what rubber
art?" then it's gone already. http://www.foxdata.com/blog/?p=675
on mine, A 3320 machine, the D-sub 15 goes to the four buttons on the
ideplate and seems to be a remote switches cable for the external computer

It's mine now. Probably the best condition of any of the used ones I've
gotten, almost 100% functional. Almost indistinguishable from new, it's
like you opened one up and ran it for 6 months then vacuum-packed it.
Had one shipping screw installed. For some reason the paper advance is
unreliable and it has that common intermittent dragging clutch sound
I've documented on the list previously. For this one I might actually
go to the trouble of figuring out what that is instead of swapping out
 the typing unit.

The cart is very cool, I'll take some photo of the parts and attachments
 when I disassemble it next.

It has a cannon DB-25 and what looked like a DB-15 cable coming out the
back, I took off the cover where the modem would be and didn't see
anything at all underneath it (didn't see a reader run board either, but
I haven't actually taken the entire cover off) so it's a bit of a
mystery where all of those wires go.
