Hi All.
I mentioned this several months ago when I made
arrangements to get this, and finally it has been received
here.
Amongst the items is a model 14 - like machine. It is small
- smaller than my model 15. I really haven't had much
chance to look at it, as I have been getting some of the
other items sorted out.
There are 3 metal boxes of parts, one for 33s, one for
model 28s and one fo a later machine. Whenever I get a
chance to catalog them, I will let you all know what I got
it in them. Unfortunately, a lot of the envelopes aren''t
marked, so it will take a while to figure out what I have,
The model 14 like machine is interesting. I will give you
more details when I have had a better chance to look at it.
One odd detail about it is that the grey paint on one area
of the back has peeled revealing a litographed woodgrain
finish underneath. The machine bears a Trans Canada
Telephone System logo as is common on some of the Canadian
machines sold by the telephone companies.
I have two power supplies and a number of testers, one loop
supply, an anti-static mat and wrist strap, two large BSP
binders full of teletype BSPs - don't ask me yet what
machines they cover -- I haven't had a chance to even open
them up.
There are three testers, one a fox generator, and two
distortion analyzers.
To me, two of the more interesting items are a large
magnetic car sign reading "Teletype Corporation Product
Service". I have half a mind to stick it on the door of my
car and drive over to visit a fellow I know here who many
years ago worked for CN/CP Communications to see what he
would say when he sees it.
Also, there is a brand new unused decal from 1958
advertising Telephone Service.
So, lots of fun, and lots to go through as I get the time.
I have photos of some of these items on my site at:
