The Boehme 5C was a pretty good, basic audio TU, in its day. It was
written up in the CQ Magazine "Surplus Sidelights" column.

Too much, you guys! A BC-610 !!! I remember my dad taking me to the
depot to pick up one of those in 1952 or 3! It was cheap and was big and
heavy and I had just started to develop an interest in things electrical so I
thought I wanted one. I'll bet there are still some pieces of it laying
around here! If you guys keep stirring up these old memories I'm going to
have trouble getting to sleep! And a TU from that era really didn't work
very well!

Ed, The original AN/GRC-26 (1950) used a O-39B/TRA-7 to FSK the BC-610 and
a CV-31B/TRA-7 diversity converter on the receive side (receivers were
BC-342s). See manual TM 11-264.

Welcome to the Group Jim!

I would be interested to know what TU units you were using along with
the BC-610's As I am trying to figure out what LUKE AFB had been using
with their BC-610... I ran AGA6LU there for a time but my main
AFSC was ground radio Maint 30454
