Hey Joe,
My dad was a telegrapher for Northern Pacific  in the early '60s...I know 
he's got a couple keys and receivers.  Also  has a box that works kind of 
like a reel to reel tape recorder, but instead  of magnetic tapes it has paper 
tapes punched for the code...is that a code  trainer?  I remember playing 
with all that stuff as a kid...I hooked it  up with a couple of D cell 
batteries and a roll of speaker wire.  I had  no idea what messages I was sending, 
but I had fun transmitting them across  the living room lol.  

Its  possible its an Instructograph, do a Google search for pictures of it. 
  There were other practice machines that used tape, a search for "code  
practice machines" will find photos of others.  The Army used a machine  
called a TG-34 but that used inked tape rather than punched tape.   
Its also possible you have a keyer head  for automatic tape transmission.  
There were a number of different  kinds made.  Does yours have a label of 
any sort on  it?
The "receivers" are called  sounders.   Sounders were used for wire 
circuits.  There were  even tiny sounders built into what look like headphones.
