That assumes that the only degradation of rubber is drying out, but there are
cracks created from shrinkage and drying as well as oxidation and other chemical
processes. So while the hoses might regain their original softness and
flexibility, I would not expect them to meet pressure spec or be as reliable.
Depending on how over-designed they were and your demands, they *might* work for
you...
