Indeed I had (maybe eight copies) of the large 12 U rack mounted 
CRT-equipped dual (4FSK) channel demodulator (described by David Emery) 
that I rescued from the NSA dump at Ft Meade in Maryland in the sixties 
when I was in h.s. I even managed to obtain a circuit diagram!  I too 
copied what appeared to be Cuba-bound signals as well as the US weather 
station out of FL and hams.  It was about three feet tall in the 
rack...I could barely pick one up.  It had an internal plug-board for 
configuring the mark-space decode, as well as slots for multiple filters 
which you plugged-in by hand.  The tubes alone cost hundreds.

There was an all-miniature tube re-design of the same unit that was only 
6 inches tall as well, but I never had a copy.

Wish I had one now...(well I wish I had all 8!)
