i still have a can of MFP spray.  I will have to try and find it and see what the ingredients list says.   It is so old that the contentl are most likely not even listed on the label.

It's a minor point but the Signal Corps described the MFP coating as a varnish, not a lacquer.



I'm also interested in the suggestion of Sea Foam.  Coincidence is that the shop that does all but minor maintenance on my Land Rover suggested last week that I run a can of it through my 4.0L engine.  So I guess that I'll buy two cans.



I once investigated the availability of a solvent designed for MFP.  And found one.  I don't recall the material or manufacturer's name but do recall that the minimum order was something like $500!
