[GreenKeys] RTTY contest this weekend

I'll be in the contest this weekend and probably run the Hell club
sprint before that. I'll be using my Flex 5K SDR and "glass", try finding
a real Hellschrieber to run Hell....I would love to find one of these at
less than astronomical prices, "collectible" sends things out of sight.
Lee is right, there aren't enough machines to go around and by
the way the only reason RTTY as a mode still exists are the contests.
Now for all the guys bemoaning the lack of "steam TTY" activity I
proposed a solution a while back. Pick a frequency on each band and
designate it as a calling frequency for machine RTTY, no nets, autostart
or anything else weird. It should just be a place where you can put out
a call and maybe get a ragchew or a roundtable going with other
machine operators. If some of the "glass" guys drop in it would be good
to conduct an informal bit of training on the use of CR/LF and other things,
Please be polite though, I've had enough of the OF syndrome on other
modes to cause me to not work them anymore.....example "it ain't
real radio if it's not cw".
