Sounds like a fairly simple circuit could accomplish this if other 
options don't pan out.  Loop current sense into a resettable timer 
connected to a relay to turn the motor on and off.  Loop current drop 
out via a break key or a N.C. push button switch anywhere in the loop 
would reset the timer turning on the motor(s). Probably close to the 
circuit in the "box".
