power cord is a standard  computer  power cord, least wise on  ours  it is.
below is a close up of  our  guts of  our 15  check it  over....
surprised  there was not a grease  fire in this  thing...  heh!

Isnt the Hal ST 5000 the one the boards fall out of?  Have you  looked 
inside to see if they are all seated?  Or maybe its the  ST-6?  Is that any
