 Media broker Glenn Serafin says "Back when I was a young AP salesman in the 
mid-Atlantic, the AP delivered the news to its members on M-15 Teletype 
printers, a rugged piece of equipment whose clanking sounds you still can 
hear if you listen to 1010 WINS in New York. The AP was pretty tough on 
getting paid. If 2-3 months went by without payment, guys like me were sent 
to the station to solve the problem. After that, without payment, it was 
policy to terminate the telco line and dispatch a technician to retrieve the 
equipment, which was AP property. This unfortunately happened at a station 
in Virginia, when an AP tech showed up and took the M-15 while the general 
manager was at lunch. When the GM got back, the staff told him what 
happened. The GM promptly called the Virginia State Police to say the 
station had been robbed of printing equipment and that the perpetrator was 
headed to Richmond. Sure enough, the AP tech got stopped, arrested and was 
held on suspicion of robbery. It took several hours to sort out the mess, 
but the tech finally was released." Serafin says "You can't make this stuff
