If you want something a little more modern, see my "BaudotRSS":

This reads anything with an RSS feed and prints it on a Baudot device.
RSS feeds are available from many news sources, including the Associated
Press. You can also follow Twitter feeds via RSS, although the result
is rather banal.
It will also send and receive SMS messages to and from cell phones.
You need a Google Voice account to do this.
It's not as simple to use as Heavy Metal, though. And the instructions
are a bit out of date. The code is open source, and if anyone wants to
improve it, they're free to do so.
