I allways send perf tape by media mail, remember it has to be punched with data to go media mail, blank tape is a no no. I print all my ship labels and postage on line so always have a tracking number. The last package I sent on 2-10-12 and it got there today 2-15-12. Have used media mail now for printed matter for 10 years and have never had a package lost. Media mail CAN be opened and inspected to make sure it is printed matter or tape, CD's, records ect that have been recorded on, although to my knowledge I have never had that done to anything I have mailed.

Has anyone tried sending perf tape via Media Mail? ?According to theUSPS guidelines, any computer read tape would qualify which suggests
that tape for producing data is a close fit.
I asked this at the postal counter today and got a blank stare but no
response.
