By the way, when dealing with the BE-77 and some other WW-II Signal
Corps stuff, I see by the manual that the bias meter is calibrated to
read zero bias when the test signal is repeated space characters like
you get by holding down the space bar.  So if you test with a square
wave of dots the bias meter will not read zero when the bias is actually
zero.
