Gentlemen, 

I've built and used the ST-6 and the TT/L-2 and prefer the ST-6.  

It has gotten me QSOs with 250 countries on RTTY, Worked All Zones (WAZ) - RTTY (certificate number 191) as well as many BARTG, DARC and SARTG RTTY Awards.  All I can say that it will pull in weak signals and fluttering signals (better than MMTTY by the way).

I've heard that the ST-8000 is a better TU.  I've never had the opportunity to try one so I will vote for the ST-6.

My ST-6 has only had one failure since I built it from the HAL kit in 1970.  One of the electrolytic caps failed two years ago.  Other than that it has been a very reliable unit.  Thanks to all who were involved in the design and decision to offer this TU in kit form.
