First, - I'm enjoying all the comments on this thread.
Second, regarding the one below, I was a 16-ish teenager
who was involved in AF MARS and visited the Net Control's
shack. He had (as I recall) about 3 machine: 14-set, 15-KSR,
and a 19. I asked him what they were and he put them to work.
I sat at the 15 and he sat at the 19 (swivel-chairs back-to-back).
He put us on the local loop and we talked. I was HOOKED! - especially
when he used tape to respond: "hey OLD TIMER - how did you learn to
type so fast?"
