Thanks for sharing this Dave,
My question is... how long will it last with the heat the machine
generates?  Part of the problem with the foam Teletype Corp
used is that it breaks down with heat and becomes a gluelike
substance.  Please keep us informed.

new soundproofing. The entire process of removing what was
left of the old insulation, cleaning, and replacement of
the pads took about 1/2 hour...

The end result is a machine which is about 30% quieter than
before, and which doesn't bind when put on the teletype due
to the old insulation which was ripped and coming loose in
many places. The 4 sheets bought for $11.95 CDN in the
auction were just enough to do the job, and I have a few
smaller scraps left over.
