I read Tom's earlier reply... good advice !
 
BUT... with penty of "spares" and good cleaning "goodies" any 28 is worth its weight ! 
...your  second line above makes for best advice...  take all you can carry !
nothing will go to waste... never know when you or someone else may need that "extra" part.
