Ah, no problem. That's because your browser's APPLICATIONS options
are set to "open it" with a external program (a player), instead of a plug-in.

IF you use a plug-in, you can always use the browser's normal
"File->SaveAs" options on the top bar.

If you don't have a plug-in, you can either download one
(most browsers have a Find Plug-In option somewhere,
OR, you can simply tweak your Applications menu options,
to make it ASK you whenever a certain file type is encountered
whether to Open it [with whatever] or Save it.

I don't know your browser, but here's how to do it with Firefox:
- Go to "Tools->Options" on pulldown.
- On the pop-up menu, click on the "Applications" Tab.
- Scroll down until you see the various "MP4" or "MPEG4" entries under "Content Type".
- On each of them, change the associated "Action" to "Always Ask".
(There will be a pulldown menu on the Actions.)

Now, when you try to open a file with an MP4 or MPEG4 extension,
it will ask you whether to actually wish to open it (with a full menu
of programs it knows about), or save it.

You can always change the Action back to a default player later.
In fact, the pop-up asking you what you wish to use has a check box
on it to "Don't ask me again, use this selection from now on".
With it, you can revert the behavior to an automatic action at any
time, without having to open the Tools->Options menu again.

Let me know if this solves your problem.
