I have a cousin in the theater world: I'll ask him how to go about it. 
In the meantime, you might consider just naming a price that you can 
live with, and offering a "buyback" option if you're satisfied with the 
way they've treated it.

Alternatively, you could lease it to the production company, and factor 
in the cost of insurance.
