OK, next.....I "think" there is an adjustment that moves the bank of hammers 
closer to the drum....I "think".  It's been a while since I tuned up mine 
LOL.

I'll see if I can find info on that tomorrow.  Just finished re-furbing a 
1920's 3 slot payfone and dead tired.  Be back to you mannana.

BTW, print quality on a 74A is probably subjective.  Mine has never been 
something to crow about...does not come close to the 74B's quality, Jim.
