[GreenKeys] Using Dovetron MPC-1000 To Regenerate Signals

I have a Dovetron MPC-1000CR/T.

Since it has tunable Mark and Space filters, I'd like to use
it as a front-end on shortwave, and have it feed its tones to
another MODEM.

I am under the impression from reading the manual that when I
set it to 1/2 Duplex it should do that - but listening to the
Audio Output, I only hear the tones change (i.e. keying) when
I type to it.

The ST-6 does this naturally - since the audio input keys the
loop, and the audio output (tone generators) are in the loop circuit.

Should that work with the MPC - or am I misreading the manual?
