I feel extremely hesitant matching wits with W7TTY, but both the Navy
TTY manuals and the TT-176 in my shack respectfully disagree. It is a
pretty normal high-level current loop unit, non-Tempest, no armored
cable, or mil connectors. It just is packaged to fit within a 19"
rack.
The LESU sits on the back of the mounting plate with a cover -
underneath it looks like a regular ole Teletype Corp. LESU and
connections are via the usual terminal strips.

I listed the components for various TT-176 models in a previous e-mail
to the list.
BTW, I have no connection to the seller, just am a happy TT-176
owner/operator who was amazed to see one languishing at $0.99 no-bid!

cheers,
