    It used to be that the secret of getting what you wanted 
at the hardware store was to know the right names for 
things. No more, most of the kids working at these places 
hardly know a nut from a bolt. Was astonished not long ago 
that the clerk at one store had never heard of shellack. 
They had it all right but how can you work around paint and 
wood finishes and not know about shellack? OTHO, a lot of 
people have no concept of anything that happened before they 
were about twelve.
