ubject: Kybd broken stud repairs

ob,

et me post the long version of the kybd broken spring stud repair.

ll the other ideas are fine, mine is the easiest if it works in your situation.

emove the spring and contact wire associated with it. Normally the spring
ooks like this

_OOOOOOO_)

ake a new end on the spring so it looks more like this:

_OOOOOOO_
         )

einstall with the new end just over the plastic frame exactly where the stud
roke off. The new end will be sharp where you cut it with the wire cutters and
ill usually hold fine as it is biting into the plastic frame. As I said
efore, just make sure it does not touch the adjacent springs or metal bottom of
he TTY tray.

 had to think about the graphics awhile. LOL.
