Let me post the long version of the kybd broken spring stud repair.  
 
All the other ideas are fine, mine is the easiest if it works in your situation.  
 
Remove the spring and contact wire associated with it.  Normally the spring looks like this

Make a new end on the spring so it looks more like this:

                      )
 
 
Reinstall with the new end just over the plastic frame exactly where the stud broke off.  The new end will be sharp where you cut it with the wire cutters and will usually hold fine as it is biting into the plastic frame.  As I said before, just make sure it does not touch the adjacent springs or metal bottom of the TTY tray.
 
I had to think about the graphics awhile.  LOL.
