[GreenKeys] ASR 28, Model 15, etc

Hi,

I am back after several years, and it is indeed good to be back. I have a new
QTH; decent area for an antenna; an ASR 28 that is in pristine condition that I
got from Jack K0TTY; a dirty but non-mousied model 15 mailbox that I bought for
fifty from some character that I suspect was in need of party money for the
weekend; and a Teletype corporation loop powersupply that I picked up on e-pay
for ten bucks.

I am looking around for several other items to assemble into a working TTY
display/demo. These would be a decent radio rack to mount several RTTY
demodulators in, (a real radio rack, something that was built for the purpose
with rounded edges and some heft, not a 're-purposed' computer cab or relay
rack); an RO unit, not particular as to what model; a reperf unit; and a patch
panel, one that "looks" like it belongs in a TTY room, not a recording studio if
that makes sense. I know that these things are still around, the problem is that
I cannot seem to find any of them here in the Mid-West. I know that there is a
really cool reperf on e-pay right now, but I fear that the shipping would be
greater than the end bid on the unit by a factor of 10.

My goal is to have a nice looking, working display room with period equipment
and several operational TTY units being fed from various sources (RTTY, itty,
Heavy Metal, etc) as a way of both preserving this technology and teaching those
who were born long after this technology went away about comms  from back in the
day.

Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas would be greatly welcome!

Thank you much,

Joe Herdler
