Yes, a model 15 is quite impressive to watch. They also make quite a
bit of noise so you'll need to put it in a place where it won't bother
your parents.

I don't know about 4 standard baudot codes. I am familiar with 5-level
and 8-level. 6-level and 7-level were used but are not common in Amateur
Radio circles.

5-level code is sometimes referred to as ITA#2.
8-level code is sometimes referred to as ASCII.

Using a computer to do the conversions between ITA#2 and ASCII would
be the easiest (that is what I use). Converting ITA#2 to ASCII is simple
because ASCII already has the ITA#2 character set but trying to convert
ASCII to ITA#2 is more difficult because so many ASCII characters do not
exist in the ITA#2 character set.
