[GreenKeys] ITTY In Europe

Hi,
the worst problem for me is the "$" symbol which is "Who are you?" in ITA2.
Always when the "$" comes it initiates the receiver's answerback to start
and all
that comes behind is garbage... Almost all machines in Europe and anyhwere
else (outside US) are fitted with answerbacks since they mostly come from
the
Telex service. Fortunately I have a couple of machines where the answerback
can be switched off (for crypto or radio use), but these machines are not
the standard and hard to find.
So I would recommend for the 50 bauds channel to use ITA2 alphabet and to
edit
the content before uploading it, which means avoiding the "$ symbol" in the
original texts.
All other charcters/symbols like USTTY BELL etc. are negligible as there is
just another character printed out and no other unwanted action...
For decoding ITTY I have now built a simple TU (RTTY decoder) with the XR
2211 decoder chip. It is simple
to build and works well with hi tones.
Anyway, have fun !
