 From our time in Guam - 1/73 - 12/75 ---

Most of the news services were 60WPM (UPI, AP, etc.).
Sometimes Reuters and Tass were European standard - copyable
at 67.
All of the military were 100WPM (Mostly Coast Guard- though
some weather was also 100WPM).
MARS depended on where from - Saigon was mostly 100WPM -
some of the smaller "out lying" posts were 60WPM.

Our Transmission kit was a gift from Teletype Corporation,
specifically for our purpose. I have no idea what 75 would
be for - sure wasn't used by the military or any of our
"stuff" of interest.

best regards...
