Dave & Dave:
Since I have an airplane I have used this material before during restoration
work. It works great. I am running a test right now using the 1/8" material.
Every knows how the 32 & 33 hammer away, so I lined the inside of my model
33 covers and it makes quite a difference. Forgot to measure the dB level
before, but it is much lower now. I have another 33 cover and will make the
dB measurements. I am also running a temperature test (before/after) to see
how this will affect temperatures inside the machine. I suspect it will run
a little warmer, but should be nothing serious. Stay Tuned!
Cheers,

Dave,
I know of some who use aircraft sound proofing material.
Example of some here:

Maybe that will help you?
