That type of Model 14 strip printer (it's not a reperf) was used on
TTY test boards. The crank allows the range finder to be
moved around to see if there's distortion on a circuit, etc.
It was eventually replaced with Model 28 strip printers
with three-speed shifts. By the late 1970's those TTY test
boards were a thing of the past (I helped to decommission
the famous "NY1" test board at 32 Avenue of the Americas in NYC).

I've never seen that type cover on a M14. Is it a special purpose
machine?
What is sticking our of the top - the rangefinder?
What is the "platen crank" sticking out of the front for?
Is it a strip printer rather than a reperforator (as someone
suggested)?
Just curious.
Thanks,
Duncan

not close enough to make the trip, but it is there at item number
320742012072. Not too bad of a BIN price either.
