Several months back i purchased a kind of HB transmitter from an estate sle over in the LA area. It had an extra group of wires coming out of it that had been used for remote control. What i didn't know waht taht this fellow had been very active some years prior to his passing, on RTTY, apparently some of it anyway was VHF rtty. I finally got all the remote control pieces and have pretty well figured out all the wiring in and out of the big junction box where most everything terminated. One of the remote units was a nice green box for controlling his machines. Don't know how many he had but the box has T_R_S jacks for 8 divices. Nice quality jacks on one place and the switches to control them in another box. Partial box anyway. The switches are the lever telephone type switches, nice plastic or whatever the material was that they used on the handles. It appears that there are 2 different loops associated with these jacks, or maybe they are all in one loop but the switches allow them to be routed to either an A or B loop configuration. Anyway i have no need for this stuff. I only have one machine and one TU. One of the cables coming out of the box says "Loop" ad the other says "Dovetron". I didn't get any opportunity to inquire about the Dovetron but the TTY machine and paper that had been listed here previously in the LA area was from the same estate sale. The fellow was quite a craftsman and did a nice job on his wiring. If anyone is interested in this box of jacks and switches i'll take $35 for it. You can't buy the quailty jacks and switches in this box for that price. Everything is wired and in place, all it requires is pluging the two T_R_S plugs into the proper jacks and your operational. For someone who has multiple machines, this is the cat's meow.
