Horrible stuff Randy... 280 deaths and counting!
Some towns no longer exist. No people, no buildings, no nothing!
God bless them all,
Don

I think you mean Tuscaloosa - just east of here. We've had a day -
thunder woke me up a little after 4AM - the last tornado warning was
dropped for here (Meridian, MS) a little over an hour ago. We still
don't know how many people killed here in MS (so far we hear between 5
an 10) - and what we hear is Tuscaloosa is perhaps ten times worse.
One report noted touch downs (some confirmed some not) in 39 counties
in MS, something like 12 in the 9 counties of this region alone (east
central MS).
What makes this really bad is we had a nasty outbreak in this same
region on the 15th... and many areas haven't even started to recover
yet. The town of Geiger, AL was basically destroyed, with virtually
every building suffering major damage - most a total loss. Kemper
County (county due north of us) also suffered a lot of damage on the
15th- and was just getting most of the debris cleaned up. Three
killed in Kemper today-
Yeah - rough day.
