Derek:
That sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately with only four weeks until this
year's convention, I don't believe there is enough time to pull something
together for this year, but I would definitely be interested in doing this
for 2012. I am only 220 miles due North of Dayton and would be willing to
bring my model 33 and 28 and possibly a model 15 and 19 if I can get them
restored in time. Obviously doing this would depend upon the level of
participation by other GreenKey members and people willing to share the
exhibit expenses, which based on the online documentation would be
approximately $700 at this year's rates. I will be sure to discuss this with
ARRL staff while at the convention next month and scout out possible booth
locations. Thanks again for the suggestion.
ANY OTHER MEMBERS INTERESTED IN DOING THIS FOR 2012?
Cheers,

Hi Everyone,
A week or so ago, a list member asked about who was going to Dayton and if
there would be a get-together of Greenkeyers.
The telegraph group that I belong to started doing that a few years ago and
we have had a booth at the Dayton Hamvention the last 2 years. This will be
our 3rd year.
We demonstrate the instruments, try to teach the visitors a little bit about
what we do and then encourage them to participate either by joining our club
or using our online virtual telegraph wire. It has been very successful the
past few years and I often wondered if a teletype group could do the same
thing.
