No doubt Don is and has been a great resource to this group for many years.

We turn to groups like this for pinpoint speciality.  If everyone here
thought it would be great fun to forward funny emails and talk about 
everything else in their life and world, be it grandkids, news, hobbies, 
religion, politics, no doubt the teletype info would be drowned in a 
sea of one hundred replies.  

So what's wrong with a general consensus to stay on topic?  Of course
conversations will drift, of course there's relevant info to be learned 
by hearing how a clockmaker handles lubrication.
